Koa Academy’s Creative Writing Workshop

Koa Academy is pleased to announce that they will host their annual virtual creative writing workshop on the 11th and 12th of June, 2024. The workshop is free of charge and is available to all South African learners in Grades 8 to 12.
The workshop aims to inspire learners, give them insight into different aspects of the writing industry and equip them with practical skills to improve their writing. Koa Academy is excited to announce an all-star lineup of guest speakers including Michelle Banda, award-winning children’s author, Refiloe Moahloli, singer-songwriter, Majozi and award-winning playwright, Gabriella Pinto.
Sessions on Day 1 (11 June 2024):

- 10:00 to 10:45 Tania Kliphuis | Independent Publishing
- 11:00 to 11:45 Majozi | Writing Lyrics

They’re also excited to announce this year’s creative writing competition where participants will craft a compelling narrative in 100 words. The winners stand a chance to win fantastic prizes and their stories will also be published on Koa Academy’s official website.
