Entrants must be over 16 years old on the closing date, 31 January 2025. There is no geographical restriction on entry–the 2025 Bristol Short Story Prize is open to everyone, whether they are based in the UK or outside the UK. They accept entries of up to 4 000 words from any genre and from published and unpublished authors alike. All entries must be in English, in a clear 12 to 14 point font and double spaced.

Submission Deadline: Enter by Friday 31 January 2025 midnight (BST) for the chance to win!
Online entries will be acknowledged via a confirmation email. If an entrant does not receive an email acknowledgement for an online entry, they are welcome to contact Bristol Short Story Prize at bristol-short-story-prize@bristol.ac.uk to confirm their entry has been received.
