I graduated with a diploma in Public Relations Management from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 2007.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I am a freelance writer and a blogger, with short stints as a presenter on a Christian radio station, Radio Tygerberg, as well as producing and hosting my own YouTube show, whilst working as a content producer for Fin24, my most recent employer. I\u2019m currently writing a quarterly column for the Change Exchange platform, where I navigate my entrepreneurship journey. I also pen a blog, where I document my hiking and coffee shop hunting adventures in and around Cape Town. I\u2019m also using my social media platforms to promote fitness, natural hair, a love of self as well as outdoor lifestyle as an accessory to healthy living.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019ve written extensively in the online space with a special focus on personal finance, entrepreneurship and a little bit of lifestyle, featuring celebrity profiles.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I started Dream Factor, a literacy club for children, back in 2016. The purpose was to help create a culture and love of reading and increase literacy levels for children around the Nyanga community. As a literacy champion for Nali\u2019Bali and a Fundza Literacy Trust beneficiary, I\u2019ve managed to help children fall in love with language and reading through the materials that were received from these organisations.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2022, I had an opportunity to be part of the Jakes Gerwel Foundation\u2019s three-week writer\u2019s residency. My story on the practice of <em>ukuthwalwa<\/em>, a Xhosa practice of arranged marriage, which I was a victim of, won me the spot on the program. I learnt so many valuable lessons from some of the best writers and mentors in the country.
