Wenlock Olympian Society: Short Story Competition

Preparations for this year’s short story competition are underway. Submissions opens on the 2nd of September and closes on the 28th of October 2024.

Prizes:

• First prize: £150
• Second prize: £50
• Third prize:  £25

The Competition is open to anyone aged 16 or over. International entries are welcome, but stories must be written in English. It must be fictional. There is no minimum word count but the story must not exceed 2 500 words (including the title).

All work submitted must be the entrant’s own original writing, and should not have appeared in print or appear on a website (including blogs and social networking sites).

Entry Fee: £6 (£11 for 2 entries, £15 for three entries. A maximum of 3 entries per person).
