The Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards is a highly recommended free contest for published books. This award honors books that have made important contributions to the understanding of racism or the appreciation of cultural diversity.
They are giving away four awards of $10 000 each:
Winners are required to receive their prize at a ceremony in Cleveland in September. Winners are also required to participate in media interviews and publicity opportunities in conjunction with the prize.
Book must have been written in English and published in 2024 to be eligible for the 2025 prize. Plays, screenplays, e-books, unpublished, print-on-demand, and self-published works not eligible. Author, publisher, editor, or publicist should submit the entry form online and then send 5 hard copies of the book.
This is a “spotlight” contest. Therefore, they especially recommend it for Advanced writers. International writers are welcome to enter and there is no age restriction.
